TDPEL is an editorial publication covering technology, business, lifestyle, travel, culture, environment and ideas. This page sets out the standards we aim to follow as we grow.
Accuracy and sourcing
Factual claims should be supported by verifiable information. For sensitive, disputed or fast-moving stories, we aim to prioritize authoritative primary records, transparent methodology and multiple credible perspectives when appropriate. We aim to identify uncertainty, distinguish reporting from analysis and avoid presenting unverified speculation as fact.
Originality, attribution and copyright
Writers should create original work, attribute quotations and distinctive ideas, and respect third-party licenses for photos, video, graphics and text. We do not endorse copying from other publications without permission or an applicable legal exception. Copyright concerns may be reported through our Copyright & Takedown Policy.
Opinions and conflicts of interest
Opinions should be clearly distinguishable from factual statements. Writers and contributors should disclose significant financial, personal or organizational interests in a subject they cover. Advertising and affiliate relationships should not be presented as unbiased editorial judgments. See our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.
Reviews and firsthand claims
When reviewing a product or service, we aim to explain the basis of our observations. We will not characterize a product as personally tested or a location as personally visited unless that actually occurred. Comparisons should be clear about their criteria and limitations.
AI-assisted work
AI tools may assist with brainstorming, drafting, formatting or editing. Their use does not make generated facts reliable. Any claim requiring factual confidence should be checked against suitable sources before being represented as verified reporting. AI-generated material should not be presented as a firsthand experience, exclusive interview or direct product test. Any future AI-assisted publication must be reviewed for accuracy and should not imply independent reporting or firsthand experience that did not occur.
Corrections and updates
We welcome specific, evidence-supported corrections. Substantive factual errors should be updated and, where appropriate, clearly noted. Minor copy edits may not require a public note. See our Corrections Policy.
